About Me

Hey there! My name is Kailah Vaughn. I am a Texas Native, and has lived here all my life. I made Austin my home in 2021 where I started my journey in the beauty industry. I trained at the Paul Mitchell the School of Austin, and graduated in November of 2021. Upon graduating, I started an apprenticeship at Golden Soul Salon. Once my apprenticeship was complete in Spring of 2022 and transitioned to taking clients full time.

I recently accepted a position at Salon Rosé where I have started the next part of my journey.

Specializing and always evolving my skills in Color/vivids, Reds/coppers, Platinum/blonding, Lived-in Balayage, Curly Hair, Transformations, and Hand-tied/Tape-in Extensions,

I strive to provide luxury and custom experiences for anyone who sits in my chair.

I have a passion for helping others, music, photography, creative directing concepts & design, and all things art. I am also a strong advocate for self love and mental health.

In my free time, you can find me with a camera in hand, working on a creative project, or binging my favorite tv shows.

I also love to spend time with my family, friends and dogs (Jade and Mayday). I enjoy roller skating, singing, traveling, and going to the movies, concerts, musical theater, or trying new foods and breweries.

To be Seen:

I want every client to know regardless of the struggles they may face out side of the salon, or even the experiences they’ve had else where. My goal is always make sure They are seen by being fully present, holding space for them, and validating any feelings they may be having in the moment.

To be Heard:

Sometimes all people want is to simply be listened to. Giving thorough consultations and engaging through out the whole service, I strive to fully give my undivided attention, and really listen to all my clients needs and wants.

To be Safe and Comfortable:

Providing a safe and comfortable space is another way I try to value any one’s experience when they sit in my chair. Respecting boundaries is very important to me, and I will always always make sure anything I do before I do it, I ask for permission and make sure my clients give their consent to do so.

To be Beautiful:

My goal is to always help a client look and feel their absolute best. I will always be your personal hype-women!

To be Valued:

I feel like this very much aligns with being seen and heard. I value my clients so much and it’s so important to me to stay so present with them. For me this goes down to simply:

- Remembering their name, and the conversations we have

- Having them be apart of the whole process rather than thinking they understand everything I’m doing

- Helping them invest in their own continued development after they leave my chair

- Being 100% authentic and transparent about my abilities, what they are asking for, and what I can do for them.

To be Empowered:

Self-empowered people take control of their lives by setting goals and taking actionable steps to achieve them. My goal is to empower my clients by showing them how to get things done (when it comes to their hair). I want to show them how confident, focused, and comfortable they can be when making decisions going forward. I also do this by building trust, showing up and being consistent.
